Digital Music Production & Marketing

Fall 2025

This course is structured in three comprehensive blocks designed to take you from the basics of music production using Logic Pro to building your presence in the music industry. The program is divided into three key blocks:

🎛 CREATE. Introduction to electronic music production using Logic Pro. This block introduces you to electronic music production, focusing on the essential tools and techniques within Logic Pro. Whether you’re new to music production or need a refresher, this section will help you develop the fundamental skills to create your own tracks, including working with digital audio workstations (DAWs), sound design, and music arrangement.

🚀 MARKETING. Strategies to publish and promote our music while developing our identity and presence as artists. In this block, you’ll learn how to effectively publish and promote your music. From crafting a personal brand to using social media platforms, this section covers practical methods to get your music in front of a wider audience. You will also explore key aspects of the music business, including distribution, rights management, and how to network to grow your reach in the digital world.

🎶 CONNECT. Exploring our community. This part of the course focuses on the importance of community in the music industry. You’ll discover ways to connect with fellow artists, venues, and events to collaborate and expand your network. Building relationships with others is essential for success in today’s music scene, and this section will guide you in navigating these opportunities.

With this course, you not only gain hands-on technical skills but also the marketing knowledge and community-building tools to understand the complex world of digital music production and distribution.

Synchronous meeting requirements: 

  • Weekly virtual classes: a weekday evening (likely Mondays or Thursdays) from 6:30-7:30pm
  • In-person/F2Fs: there will be 3-5 sessions scheduled mostly on Fridays afternoon or Saturdays from 11am to 1pm at locations such as Skyline Studios, Continental Club and/or other local music studios and venues in the Bay area.

About the Instructor

Vicente Jurado – Head-Royce School

Vicente Jurado combines a deep passion for electronic music with more than 15 years of teaching experience across Spain, Ireland, the UK, the USA, and Cameroon. He earned an M.A. in Music Production from ProAudio – Escuela de Música Electrónica, the Ableton Certified Training Center in Sevilla, Spain, where he developed hands-on skills in music creation. His time working and collaborating in Ibiza, the heart of the global electronic music scene, has been especially influential in shaping his perspective on music and its vibrant culture.

Alongside his music background, Vicente holds a B.A. in World Languages, an M.A. in Peace Culture, Education, and Human Rights, and a Ph.D. in Social Science. These academic experiences inform his approach to teaching, which focuses on creativity, inclusivity, and using music as a tool for positive change.

With his international experience and strong foundation in music production, Vicente is dedicated to helping students develop their skills and navigate the complex world of music with confidence.
